How many bridges are there in United States?
According to the U.S. Census Bureau statistical abstract, and as of December, 2010, the total number of bridges in the United States is 604,474. Among them, 146, 633 were found to be deficient and obsolete in the year 2010. As of 2010, 69,223 bridges were structurally deficient, and 77,410 bridges were functionally obsolete. The data is based on the National Bridge Inventory.
