How many Arabic speakers are there in the world?
221 million.
There are a total of 221 million Arabic speakers in 57 different countries worldwide. This is according to the Summer Institute of Linguistic’â„¢s World Ethnologue published in 2009. Among the Arabic languages, Egyptian Arabic is most used with 54 million speakers in 10 countries, followed by Algerian Arabic with 22.4 million speakers.
