There are 506,199 members of the American youth organization Future Farmers of America (FFA) as of December 2009. This is according to the paper Key FFA Statistics as of December 2009 available on the FFA website. These members are dispersed in 7,429 chapters representing all 50 US states as well as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. 38% of FFA members are female, and 89% are in grades 9-12.
