In Korea, Krystal’s name is popular as Jung Soo-Jung, which means crystal in local Korean language. She was the foremost of the f(x) members to get casted. She likes British accent and chose her name all by herself which was an American name.

Luna stated that Krystal’s Korean pronunciation had a tinge of English in it too because she has a thing for learning English language and culture the language as well.

• Earlier, people would confuse her as sister of Yoona of SNSD as they were quite similar the way they looked. Many say that her resemblance is more with Yuri and Yoona than her very own sister, Jessica.  She is quite taller than Jessica though.

• It is even said that she is much prettier than her sister. This opinion has been expressed by Kim Hyun Joong of SS501 but still Krystal, being modest, finds Jessica much prettier than her.

• She can speak in English and prefers reading mostly English books. Most of the books in her house are English. Krystal is also used to speaking Chinese and Japanese. French is a language she wants to learn.

• In fruits, she loves avocado and mango while she is allergic to apple. Her favorite cuisine is Mexican cuisine and loves to eat Burritos a lot. Cucumber is something she hates a lot while meat is one of her favorites.

• She loves to use a bear shaped key-ring which has Harvard University engraved on it. She always loves to put on a hat and carries a body lotion along with her in her purse. She uses a red iPod.

• She is very lenient as a person and calls Amber simply by the name instead of using ‘œunnie.’ Generally it is very important for the f(x)’s but she never liked staying in the dorm as her house is near the dorm.

• She along with Minho of SHINee outdid the record of female high jump at Dream Team 2. For schooling, she went to Kent Foreign School from Korea before going to Hanlim High School. She did her major in Entertainment and Arts in this school.

• She always prefers to choose someone much uglier than herself, as boyfriend as she never wants her boyfriend to be surrounded by too many girls. She was never keen on having a romantic love life but always wanted a basic love story.

• Krystal always prefers to keep a puppy as a pet. She loves her fans too much. It is said that during a concert in LA, she had been signing off all her fans at the Sheraton Hotel until the security advised her to stop.

• Her voice is quite matured and she is an enthusiastic singer as well. According to her Audrey Hepburn as an actress and woman is almost perfect. She even admires Christina Aguilera for her talents.

In 2010, she bagged the Rookie Comedy Award from MBC Entertainment Awards. Dongho of UKISS was one of her classmates. She loves to hear people calling her Soojung, instead of Krystal.
