How many LPG connections are there in India?

Statistics show that these days there are around 145 million LPG consumers in India, out of which 26 million are multiple connections.  The bad news is that these 26 million multiple connections run the risk of being disconnected.  Not too many people know that if a household has more than one connection, it needs to demonstrate that these are being used by different families.  Do not forget the fact that one LPG connection is an attempt to control LPG subsidy.
