According to the GMATClub.com website, there were 267,000 GMAT test takers in 2009. Approximately 51% of the test takers were citizens of nations other than the United States. Majority of non-US test takers came from China and India, and their numbers have risen significantly from last year’s statistics. Significant increases in statistics were also seen in the number of women, African Americans, and Hispanic Americans who took the exam.
