Homosexuality occurs when two persons of the same sex or gender are in love with each other and have a relationship with one another. This kind of relationship is obviously objected by the people in the Catholic Church since they believe that a man is made for a woman, and the woman is made for a man. For them, it is a sin against the Creator to be in love with the same sex.
Fact 1: The term ‘œhomosexuality’ started in the late 19th century by a German psychologist, Karoly Maria Benkert.
Fact 2: The Natural Law Theory believes that homosexuality occurs among gays and lesbians because they are not understood by most people in society, and they find the affection and attention that they are yearning for with people of the same sex as they are.
Fact 3: There are 14 states in the United States and Puerto Rico that have legislated in their law that it is a crime to be involved in a relationship with a homosexual person, and they are put in prison for committing a homosexual act.
Fact 4: Some countries are sentencing people to life imprisonment for a homosexual relationship. These countries are: Uganda, Singapore, Guyana, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Bangladesh, and India.
Fact 5: Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Sudan, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Mauritania are imposing a death penalty verdict for those participating in a relationship with the same sex.
Fact 6: For some people, they believe that homosexual relationships can ruin families, and that it would break the family ties among the family members.
Fact 7: ‘œHomophobia’ is known to be the fear or dislike of homosexual people.
Fact 8: According to Sigmund Freud’s theory, people are bisexual in nature, but then due to their experiences with other people and their parents, they tend to change and become homosexuals.
Fact 9: The statement, ‘œThere are some people who are born homosexual’ is a myth because there are no studies or research that can prove that a person is born a homosexual.
Fact 10: Studies have shown that homosexual relationships are not monogamous for they are having more than one partner and are more prone to illnesses.

Not all of these statements are facts and seem tainted with personal bias. And it is not a myth that people are born homosexuals, several studies have shown that they are in fact born that way. If you’re going to present so called facts to the public make sure they’re accurate.
