What is iPad 3G?

iPad 3G is a tablet computer which was developed by Apple Inc. iPad 3G is very similar in appearances and features to its predecessor, the iPad, which was in itself considered to be a significant innovation in the computer industry and in technology in general.
The main difference between the two is that when it comes to connected to the internet, iPad uses only Wi-Fi, while iPad 3G as the name suggests can make use of 3rd Generation or 3G technology. Physically, there’s almost no way to tell the difference between the two units, aside from a black band that runs across the top at the back of the newer iPad 3G, underneath which is the modem for the 3G. The iPad 3g is also lighter by one tenth of a pound compared to its older sibling, weighing in at 1.5 lbs.
The iPad 3G requires a SIM card and a subscription in order to be able to use the 3G function. The good news is that it is not network locked, which means that any provider with an offer for an iPad 3G will be able to provide a SIM. Another feature of the iPad 3G is that it has built-in GPS that works better and more accurately that the Wi-Fi only model.
For the 3G feature alone, the new iPad 3G is $130 more expensive than the original iPad.
