What is EZprint.exe?

EZprint.exe is a file associated with Lexmark printers and products.  As the term suggests, EZprint.exe is designed for “easy” printing of pictures and/or documents when using Lexmark devices like printers.  In the case of mobile storage devices like USB thumb drives or removable disks, when these are compatible with Lexmark devices, then the EZPrint utility will be activated to give easy options for printing and/or easy storage.

EZprint.exe is the executable file of the main EZPrint software from Lexmark.  Basically what happens is that the EZprint.exe or utility will be launched if a Lexmark-compatible USB thumb drive or SD memory card or stick is inserted to the computer.  With the EZprint software utility, users will be given several easy options for quick printing of pictures and documents, quick storage, quick editing, and quick file transfers.  With EZprint.exe, overall file management including printing is made easy and quick.

The file EZprint.exe may be encountered by users during startup as it may try to locate removable storage devices to “manage”.  But this file is a non-essential file to the operating system and so may be terminated from running automatically in the background.  To terminate this process, one just needs to access the Task Manager and stop EZprint.exe from running.  But there are also cases that the EZprint.exe may become corrupted that it will launch the EZprint utility intermittently.  If users suspect that this file may contain a virus or may be a virus in itself, it is best to coordinate with computer experts immediately to avoid corruption of other important files.  Sometimes there may problems with the computer registry files in which the EZprint utility from Lexmark may not function properly.  For registry concerns, some free software offer registry clean-up services and may correct errors relating to EZprint.exe.  But then again, expert advice may be necessary in these cases.
