Aquaphor is a topical ointment that is part of the Eucerin line of skin and beauty products.  The main base of Aquaphor is sourced from mineral oil or petroleum jelly which is considered a great ingredient for various skin irritations.  Two versions of Aquaphor are available in the market for people who want to have an effective remedy for minor skin problems.  The original ointment contains lanolin and ceresin along with the mineral oil base.  This variant of Aquaphor is what most people are familiar about.   This original ointment can be used to moisturize the skin and give it a more healthy texture.  With petroleum jelly as its base, Aquaphor original ointment is also good for minor skin irritations like itchiness, diaper rashes, and superficial burns.
