What is Anarchy?
Anarchy is derived from a Greek word anarchia which means ‘without any leadership’. Anarchy has many possible meanings hence can be used in both positive and negative sense. It is used mostly in the negative sense to describe the violence and chaos of a lawless society.

Anarchy concept expresses belief that people are happier when they are not governed by anyone but themselves. All basic forms of anarchy have some basic principles in common. One of them is Anti-statism, which means to refuse to be ruled by any type of government or to follow any particular rules or laws.

Mutual-aid is another important principle, which means that people will engage in deals with others only if they are benefited them. This will lead to an overall profit of the society. Anarchists also believe in the absence of a governing body, will automatically lead to formation of spontaneous groups which will lead to all-around development just as in the case of universe and ecology.

All the types of anarchy can be divided into two major groups: Individualist and collectivist anarchy. Collectivist anarchy followers believe in private ownership and also that the business is democratically run by the employees of the firm rather than any individual owner. They also believe that employees should be entitled to all the profit the company makes and they are paid for the amount of work done rather than based on the free market-pricing. Individualist anarchists believe that individuals cannot be ruled by any particular government or organization. They believe that all individuals should work in their self-interest and need not follow any particulars laws, customs or traditions. Panarchy is another type of anarchy. Panarchists believe that it is all up to the people to join any organizational groups or to follow or not to follow any particular laws and regulations. Thus, there can be various types of groups in a society working in harmony.
