How many SSI recipients are there?


What does SSI mean?  Well, SSI stands for Supplemental Security Income.  It is a United States government program that provides financial aid to low-income people who are either aged (65 or older), blind, or disabled.  There are 8002032 beneficiaries in the United States of America: age 65 or older – 2,051,848; between ages 18 – 64 – 4,691,651; under age 18 – 1,258,533.  Keep in mind that these people have income and resources within certain limits.  Moreover, these persons legally reside in one of the 50 states.
