How many scuba divers are there in the world?
1.2 million scuba divers world wide
According to most statistics, there are approximately 1.2 million scuba divers all over the world. Believe it or not, 66% of the scuba divers all over the world are male and 34% of the scuba divers all over the world are female. When it comes to the average age of scuba divers, you should know that it is 29. It is important to know that PADI, the world’s largest scuba certification agency has barely grown over the last 6 years. Keep in mind that in 2007 they had 133,562 members and in 2012 they had 135,710 members. Unfortunately, this signifies only a 2% increase.
