How many non-English speakers are there in the US?

55 million.

According to the American Community Survey, organized by the US Census Bureau, over 55 million people in the US speak other languages than English at home. Spanish and Spanish Creole are the most spoken foreign languages in the country (62%), followed by Chinese (4.5%), French or French Creole (3.5%), and Tagalog (2.6%).
