According to a press release posted on MTN’â„¢s website, in April 2009 the MTN Group reached the milestone of 100 million subscribers; the MTN Group holds 21 markets both in Africa and the Middle East. Among MTN subscribers, 26% belong to the south and east Africa region, 45% belong to the west and central Africa region and 29% belong to the north Africa region.
