It is important to know that Lowe’s was founded in 1946.  Not too many people know that Lowe’s has grown from a small hardware store in North Carolina to the second largest home improvement retailer worldwide.  It is the 7th largest retailer in the U.S.  This is definitely something.  Keep in mind that Lowe’s stores stock 40,000 products and have hundreds of thousands more available by special order.  It is interesting to know that Lowe’s opens a new store on average every three days.
