How many legs does a Centipede have?

From under 20 to over 300

It is important to know that Centipedes are arthropods belonging to the class Chilopoda of the subphylum Myriapoda. Centipedes are elongated metameric creatures with one pair of legs per body segment.  Believe it or not, they have an odd number of legs.  This number varies from under 20 to over 300.  This is definitely something.  Keep in mind that worldwide there are estimated to be 8,000 species of centipedes.  Centipedes can be found both in desserts and in tropical forests.
