How many animals are killed in animal testing in the US?
Around 10 million a year.
In a news report published in the USA Today on February 14, 2008, the Humane Society of the United States placed an estimate of about 10 million animals killed each year in the United States from animal testing. A 2005 report by the Nuffield Council of Bioethics places the worldwide estimates for animals killed for research at 50-100 million annually.

Animal testing might be helpful but still this is like saying that we are able to test on humans and be fine with it. Since mice or rats are equivalent to humans they test on them, but some fruits are equivalent to us to like the banana, it might not yelp in pain or instantly die like animals and we do, but it sure can tell what’s toxic or not and what can explode or not. We need to stop doing this you wouldn’t do this to your household pet would you? Why do it to other animals??
