Tips for The Beautiful Teenager

A healthy fresh looking teenage girl is one of nature’s most beautiful creations. So girls keep it natural, nothing is more appealing.

However teenagers rarely find natural appealing, so here are some tips, to help you maintain and enhance your natural beauty.

Deal with the Acne: Acne is caused by oil and dead cells blocking the pores or by hormonal activity that causes the sebaceous glands to secrete excess oil. Stress, inferior cosmetics and birth control pills also cause acne; give them a skip if possible. Prevention is always better than cure so you’re your face and hands clean. Use a mild cleanser morning and night. Wash with warm, but not hot water. Use oil free skin beauty products. Eat regular healthy meals and avoid constipation. Treat acne with vitamins and minerals as prescribed by a doctor. Many natural home remedies are also available for both prevention and cure of acne.

Skin Care: take good care of your tender young skin. It has to last you many years. Clean with a quality body scrub and use a moisturiser after washing. Avoid too much sunlight. Drink plenty of water and exercise regularly. Abstain or at least limit the use of alcohol and tobacco. Do not cut down on your sleep. If you shave off unwanted hair, do it after a bath to reduce nicking. If waxing, have a cold shower after.

Make Up: First rule for young skin is – do not use make up without testing it first. Your skin is as unique as you are and has its own like and dislikes. Do not use expired products. Avoid too much make-up. Balance the make-up of the eyes and lips. If using strong make up on one underplay the other. Never use everything – foundation, bronzer, powder, and blush – everyday. If using eyeliner apply it at the eyelash line.

Eyes: Rinse your eyes with clean water when you come indoors. Use sunglasses to protect your eyes from harmful rays of the sun. Shape your eyebrows regularly, giving them a slight arch and keeping a clear space between them. You can pluck them at home with tweezers or thread at a parlour.

Hair: Take good care of your crowning glory. Wash it once a week and brush morning and night from root to tip. A hundred firm strokes with a natural bristle brush guarantees shiny smooth silky hair. Get yourself an easy to manage haircut. Use a conditioner either natural or commercial, once a week.

Lips: Use a lip balm or Vaseline regularly. A light lip gloss is all a young girl needs.

Nails: Try not to bite your nails. Groom them carefully. Filing and trimming make your nails look good, but don’t over-do it. Keep your toenails clean and trimmed. Use a base coat before painting your nails. This prevents yellowing.

Your Best Feature: People are always telling you what your best feature is. Play it up. If you’ve been told that your eyes are your best feature, then emphasise the eyes when doing your make up.

Teeth: Brush your teeth regularly with whitening toothpaste. Eat foods that keep the teeth and gums healthy.

Smile: and smile and smile. Your beautiful smile is your most attractive feature.

Inner Beauty: A happy cheerful confident girl is always beautiful, remember that!
