Tea is a beverage which is widely consumed across the world next only to water. There are different varieties of tea- green, black and oolong. Of these varieties green tea has been synonymous with the Japanese people from time immemorial that it has been renamed as the Japanese Tea. For the people of Japan tea is not just a drink but holds a special place in their daily routine.

Types of Japanese Tea:

Green tea is produced from tea leaves that have not been fermented or in other words which have not been oxidized. Though different methods are used to prevent the leaves from becoming oxidized water vapor is used for this purpose in Japan. There are different kinds of green tea in Japan namely: Sencha, Gyokuro, Kabuse-cha, tamaryoku-cha and Matcha amongst others.
