According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, a foreign national is ‘an individual who is a citizen of any country other than the United States.’ For the purpose of this article, ‘international’ means people from all over the world. Neither does there exist nor is required any international standards of beauty. As it is a subjective matter of preference. What looks beautiful to one may not be so for the other. Wide eyes are considered beautiful in some countries and considered the opposite in other countries. Similar is the case of long and straight hair versus short and curly or wavy hair. All the blacks and whites and colored peoples prefer the white complexion in general all over the world. There are, however, communities wherein black and colored complexions have their own importance. In an address to his beloved, an Arab poet tells her that her beauty shall be enhanced in manifold ways if she could place a speck from his black skin on her face as a mole, and that he would look ugly if a patch of her white color was given to his black skin. Moreover, all beauty does not lie in the beautiful person because there is so much in the eyes of the viewer that makes one beautiful. This factor is greatly influenced by communication. Those who communicate beautifully, look beautiful.

She became known in 1990 while performing as lead singer of Destiny’s Child, one of the world’s best selling girl groups of all time. She has won numerous awards. Not excluding the others they include: 16 Grammy Awards, 11 MTV Video Music Awards, 4 Music Awards, and one Billboard Millennium Award. She has also won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with Destiny’s Child. She topped the 2010 Forbes list of the ‘100 Most Powerful and Influential Musicians in the World.’ People magazine named her ‘World’s Most Beautiful Woman’ in 2012.

3. Natalie Portman

Natalie Hershlag, commonly known by her stage name Natalie Portman, was born as an only child to Shelley and Avner Hershlag in Jerusalem, Israel on June 9, 1981. She is an actress with dual citizenship as an American and an Israeli. She graduated with a B.A. from Harvard University in 2003. She received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress-Motion Pictures for her outstanding performance in the drama Closer. She won an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, the Screen Actors Guild Award, Independent Spirit Award, and the BAFTA Award in 2011.

4. Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston was born to John Aniston and Nancy Dow in Sherman Oaks, California, U.S. on February 11, 1969. She is an American actress, film producer, and director. She received her early education at the Rudolf Steiner School in New York. She graduated from Fiorello H. La Guardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. Jennifer Aniston became famous after her outstanding performance in the TV sitcom Friends. Her role in it as Rachel Green earned her a Screen Actors Guild Award, Golden Globe Award, and an Emmy Award. She was selected for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012.

Angelina Jolie Voight, better known as Angelina Jolie, was born to John Voight and Marcheline Bertrand in Los Angeles, California, U.S. on June 4, 1975. She received her early education at Beverly Hills High School but had an uneasy adolescence. She experimented with knives and drugs, including heroine. She became famous after her role in Lara Croft: Tomb Raiders in 2001, and by 2003 she was the highest-paid film actress in Hollywood. She is the recipient of three Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and one Academy Award. She has been cited as the world’s most beautiful woman.

6. Rachel McAdams

Rachel McAdams was born to Sandra and Lance in London, Ontario, Canada on November 17, 1978. She graduated from York University in 2001. After her performance in Wedding Crashers, The Notebook, and Red Eye, she was named as ‘The New Hollywood  Girl’ and received a BAFTA Award and a nomination for Best Rising Star. She remained inactive during 2006 and 2007; however, she resumed her former stature in 2009. She has starred in Vow, a drama of 2012.

7. Shakira

Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, better known as Shakira, was born in Barranquilla, Columbia on February 2, 1977. Shakira is the most beautiful multilingual singer of 2012. She is fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese and can also speak Arabic, Catalan, French, and Italian. She is a philanthropist of very noble thoughts. Along with President Barack Obama, she delivered speeches on education for under-privileged children. In 2007, appealing for the victims of the Cyclone Sidr in Bangladesh, she visited a school of the village Mirzapur and said, ‘I am more convinced than ever that education is the key to so many of the difficulties that our children face in countries like mine or in developing countries like this one. It is the key to a better and safer world.’ She has won 12 Billboard Latin Music Awards, 8 Latin Grammy Awards, 2 Grammy Awards, and has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award.

8. Emma Watson

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, better known as Emma Watson, was born in Paris, France on April 15, 1990. She received her early education at The Dragon School, and she also attended the Headington School. She is an English actress and model. She became famous after playing her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series. She has starred in all eight of the Harry Potter films from 2001 to 2011. Emma Watson has earned numerous awards and in excess of $10 million.

9. Selena Gomez

Selena Marie Gomez, commonly known as Selena Gomez, was born to Amanda Dawn Teefy and Richardo Joel Gomez in Grand Prairie, Texas, U.S. on July 22, 1992. She is an American singer and artist known for her outstanding role in the Emmy Award winning Disney Channel TV series Wizard of Waverly Place. Selena Gomez has earned 51 different awards including: Young Artist Award, MTV Europe Music Award, Teen Choice Award, Kids Choice Award, and People’s Choice Award.

10. Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman was born to Dr. Antony David Kidman and Janelle Ann in Honolulu, Hawaii, U.S. on June 20, 1967. She is an Australian actress and film producer. She became world famous after her performance in Days of Thunder in 1990. She has won three Golden Globe Awards, an Academy Award for Best Actress, and one BAFTA Award. She has also earned a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She has been given the Highest Civilian Award of Australia, and the Companion of the Order of Australia. Nicole Kidman is #1 on the list of the Top 10 Most Beautiful Hollywood Actresses in 2012.

Conclusion:

If one is not a ‘born beauty,’ the lack of beauty may be made up to some extent by proper beauty care, a cheerful mood, decent communication, and beautiful attire. But for those lacking these virtues cannot make up the deficiencies even if  they were  ‘born beautiful.’ Beauty is marred by a careless attitude, rude behavior, indecent communication, shabby apparel, and clumsy gait. In addition to one’s physical appearance, one’s demeanor counts equally for beautiful people.
