Adam Noah Levine is a popular American singer, musician and songwriter who was born and brought up in Los Angeles. Adam is the guitarist and lead vocalist of Maroon 5, a Grammy-winning pop band of America. He was born to Patsee nee Noah Levine and Fred in 1979. During childhood, he attended the French Woods Festival of the Arts Camp and there he started his band named, Maroon 5 with his best buddy, Jesse Carmichael.

Here are some more interesting facts about this American singer Adam Noah Levine.

  • The band was then known as Kara’s Flowers. It was during his high school days that the first album The Fourth World was released in 1997. After that he shifted to New York City with his best friend.
  • There they learnt the new ideas about R&B and hip hop. Finally in 2001 they renamed the band as Maroon 5 by adding a few more talented musicians to the band. There band was greatly influenced by Pearl Jam and Nirvana.
  • The first album of this newly formed band was “Songs about Jane” which was popular all over the States.
  • Adam received the Grammy Awards three times on behalf of his band, Maroon 5. He also received 2 American Music Awards, two Billboard Music Awards, a MTV Video Music Award and a World Music Award as well.
  • Apart from Maroon 5, Levine took part in other musical actions as well. Like he featured the song “Live Again” by Ying Yang Twins. He also featured in an album of Kayne West, “Heard ‘Em Say,”
  • Other than excelling in just musical career, he even appeared on four comic roles in television. He was on the Saturday Night Live short, “Iran So Far” along with Andy Samburg, Jake Gyllenhaal and Fred Armisen in 2007.
  • Adam Levine even sang a love song for the Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the President of Iran. He even appeared on a TV Show “Night of Too Many Stars” on Comedy Central. He even played a small role on Jimmy Kimmel Live as a supporter of Barack Obama in the Election of 2008.
  • He has no future ideas of continuing with the band Maroon 5. Levine might stop or resign after the band’s tour for its third album. He even coaches for The Voice, an American Talent Show.
  • He is a Jew by origin as both his parents are Jewish. Still he does not like to follow the religious practices of the religion. He even did not agree for his Bar-Mitzvah during his adulthood.
  • He is an active philanthropist as he is attached with the (LGBT) Rights and also with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). He too was diagnosed for this ADHD problem and thus started an educational campaign to make people aware of this.

The restaurant, where the post Grammy Awards celebration was supposed to be held by Maroon 5 in 2012, was duly changed by Levine as a protest because the restaurant did not support Proposition 8, which was about rights of marriage in same-sex.
