Fact 6: Some of the natural resources available here are nickel and copper. Offshore and onshore oil is potentially available in this region.
Fact 7: The land used for irrigation occupies 220 square km according to the 2003 estimates.
Fact 8: The ethnic groups of Puerto Rico are Caucasian constituting 76.2 percent of the population, Negro constituting 6.9 percent of the population, Amerindian constituting 0.2 percent, mixed as 4.4 percent, and other groups occupying 12 percent. This estimation was done according to the 2007 census.
Fact 9: The languages spoken here are English and Spanish. About 85 percent of the people here belong to the Roman Catholic religion while 15 percent of the population belongs to the Protestant denominations and other groups.
Fact 10: The total population of Puerto Rico is 3,998,905 as estimated in the July census of  2011. This country is in 128th position if it is compared with other countries.
Fact 11: Â Â San Juan is the major city in Puerto Rico, and it has around 2.73 million in terms of population from the census in 2009.
