Blueberries are popular for making salads, juices, and flavorings or toppings for various desserts. These berries are well known for their taste and their various health benefits because of their nutrient and antioxidant contents. Many health experts refer to blueberries as super nutrient foods because they are known to provide a health boost. Below are some facts about blueberries:
Fact 1: Blueberries can help prevent cancer. These fruits are known to have high amounts of antioxidants, which can help get rid of harmful toxins in the body. These toxins could be cancer-causing free radicals that are neutralized by blueberries, which lead to possible cancer prevention.
Fact 2: The state of Maine in the US is considered to be the biggest producer of wild blueberries in America. At almost 100 million pounds of production in year 2012, no other state produces more blueberries than this state.
