Skrillex is a famous American Electronic songwriter and music composer. His actual name is Sonny John Moore. He was born on 15th January, 1988 at Los Angeles, United States. Presently he is twenty six years old.

Skrillex started off his journey in music in 2008. This was the first time he handled a gig as a front man from the beginning to the end. Here are some fantastic facts about Skrillex.

• A project favorable for dance floor was created, known as Skrillex. The name was actually used for live DJ units until 2009 when the entire project for dance-floor was shifted to the Studio, where Skrillex remixed ‘œBad Romance’ by Lady Gaga with Snoop Dogg’s ‘œSensual Seduction. ‘œ

• Skrillex released the digital tracks EP My Name Is Skrillex in 2010. It was a combination of Deadmau5 and Bennassi’s electric style with tracks that playing that sounded like the Fatboy Slim and Chemical Brothers.

• Many people considered that he might have met Jonathan Davis in 2011 when The Path of Totality, an album by Korn was launched. Contrary to popular belief, Skrillex had interviewed Davis in 2006 for the album, A Revolver Piece. In this interview, Skrillex’s love for Korn is visible.

• Skrillex, before taking this name for his musical career was known as Twipz. It is still a mystery about the origin of the name but certain tracks of MySpace-era under the name of ‘œTwipz’ can still be found in YouTube.

• Skrillex went onto be a guitarist in a band From First to Last, which was signed in mid-2000 to Epitaph. He finally moved out of Georgia and managed his way to become the band’s lead singer. He continued singing in this band for about three years until he started off with his personal career in 2007.

• Skrillex never likes to bring up the topic of his biological parents. He got to know at the age of 16 that he was adopted and his actual mother was introduced to him as a family friend. Since then he never spoke to his actual mother in anger for years.

• Skrillex concentrated on his solo career after leaving From First to Last. In his first live show, he played his original tracks which were accompanied by Carol Robbins, a harpist. One can never imagine what a Skrillex show would sound on this date with a harp.

• Skrillex’s music was successful in Bennassi’s movie. Not only did it attract more than 30 million viewers over YouTube but it was also listed on iTunes Dance Music list for about six months. The song was also used for WWE advertisement. It finally lead to a Grammy for Skrillex in the year 2012.

• Skrillex had a chance to work with The Doors in the RE: Generationdocumentary on a certain track ‘œBreak’n a Sweat’. It made him a Grammy nominee for Bangarang EP.

• The Doors were basically not aware of Skrillex though the children of Robby Krienger and Ray Manzarek were great fans of Skrillex.
