What Is NVQ Level 3?
NVQ Level 3 stands for National Vocational Qualification Level 3. This NVQ is actually made up of 5 different levels. Each of these levels has corresponding criteria and description. Basically, NVQ describes one’s level of competency in the chosen career. This NVQ is considered an award based in countries including Wales, England and Northern Ireland. The NVQ actually reflects one’s capabilities and level of expertise in their field. Thus, in order for one to move from one field to another, there must be improvement in his or her performance.

When we speak of NVQ Level 3, this means that the workers are competent enough in terms of the application of their job. They also know different activities in line with the performance of their duty. Usually, this is non- routine and still they manage to carry it out well. Autonomy is also beginning to be a value here. Yet, at some point, there is also a need for guidance. Overall, at this stage, the workers have already developed a sense of responsibility in terms of their work. Competence is also becoming the key term here. However, there is still a need to polish things out.

If one wants to move from one level to another, there must be a constant effort to improve their craft. There must also be a move to further their studies as well as to meet the standards set by NVQ. This NVQ applies to different sectors and industries. This includes engineering, manufacturing, business, health, communication, transport, and many others.

The level 5 is the goal of everyone since one’s NVQ level means a lot. However, level 3 is already a good level as it shows progress. This NVQ is conferred by different departments including Department for children, schools, and families, curriculum development agencies, and even universities.
