Kenya is a country on the East of the African continent that borders the Indian Ocean. It is a country that is blessed with great natural beauty and resources. Each year there is a migration of more than a million herbivores on the plains of the Masaai Mara, across the Mara River in search of green pasture. This is a spectacle that has seen millions of tourists visiting each year and is considered by many as the most amazing natural event on African soil.

Tourism is one of the main activities for the Kenyan economy with wildlife in natural environments being a major attraction. The big five animals which include lions, elephants, buffalo,  rhino and leopard can all be seen in their natural habitat. There are many other species of animals, birds, fish, insects and plants that keep tourists visiting the country. Visitors to Kenya get to enjoy tours which are commonly known as safaris all year round because of the moderate weather conditions.
