The 6 Best Horror Movies of 2014

2014 was not a particularly good year for movies of the horror genre. Most of the year’s releases were utterly disappointing. However, as in all cases, there are some movies that outdo others. Here are the best horror movies of 2014;

1. Deliver Us From Evil
This supernatural horror film is based on a 2001 non-fiction book titled Beware the Night, so this horror film is actually based on true events. The film is about Ralph Sarchie, a New York law enforcement officer who teams up with a priest who has knowledge of evil and mysterious happenings and is familiar with exorcism, in order to deliver the city from the mysterious happenings and possessions that are rocking it. This movie is fresh and interesting. If that is not convincing enough, you will get a chance to see Olivia Munn, who is part of the excellent cast.

2. The Purge: Anarchy
There is no reason for this social science fiction thriller movie to miss from the list of the top horror movies of 2014. It is a follow-up to The Purge, released in 2013. It is a notable improvement over the previous installment and is both dramatic and exciting. A totalitarian government is in charge and reinstates one night a year as The Purge, where all crimes are legal. The people believe that it is an opportunity for them to release their stress when in reality, it is the government’s way of killing the poor since people from the poor regions are in most circumstances, the victims.

As the movie ends, she goes to college, where it seems the evil shadow of the killer has followed her.
