There are some thriller movies that no one can ever forget. They are simply masterpieces that will stay with us forever. Here are the best thriller movies of all time;

1. Seven (1995)
With an all-star cast consisting of Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kevin Spacey, it is easy to see why this movie will forever be a classic. Two detectives, played by Pitt and Freeman form an unlikely duo and go on to investigate a pair of some pretty strange murders. In both crime scenes, the murderer leaves behind clues for them. The killer, played by Spacey, is on a rampage, killing people who commit the seven deadly sins, such as greed. The manhunt ends when Doe, the killer, surrenders himself. He later admits he has murdered Tracy, Mill’s wife, played by Paltrow, leading to the arrest of Mills. This movie is filled with interesting plot twists guaranteed to always keep you guessing.

2. Psycho (1960)
This 1960 film talks about a secretary who steals from her boss and goes on a run. She spends the night at a motel where the owner invites her to dinner. The young woman, Marion, is murdered by the motel owner’s mother, who is mentally ill. Norman, the motel owner, covers up the murder to protect his mother. The mentally ill woman also murders a private investigator who tries to find out about Marion’s whereabouts. In an interesting and unexpected twist, it emerges that Norman actually murdered his mother and her lover and adopted her personality. He exhumed and preserved her corpse. His late mother takes control of him and makes him murder any woman he is sexually attracted to.

3. The Dark Knight (2008)
The Batman series is here to stay. The Dark Knight, a sequel to 2005’s Batman Begins, was released to rave reviews from critics and widespread box office success, generating over $1 000 000 000 in Box Office sales. Picking up from the prequel, Batman, played by Christian Bale, is more determined than ever to eradicate crime in Gotham city. He is helped by police lieutenant James Gordon and new District Attorney Harvey Dent. The mob leaders, who are the source of crime, enlist the help of The Joker, who robbed a bank and killed his fellow robbers. What ensues is a long battle between The Joker on one side and law enforcement and Batman on the opposing side.

4. The Silence of The Lambs (1991)

This movie stars some of the biggest names in Hollywood; Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster. It is based on a 1988 novel of the same name, by author Thomas Harris. Clarice Starling, played by Foster, is pulled from her FBI training to interview a former psychiatrist who is serving time for his cannibalistic serial tendencies. His help may be helpful in apprehending another serial murderer who skins corpses of his female victims. Lecter, the psychiatrist, offers his help on condition he is moved away from an inmate he detests. Lecter later kills his guards and escapes. There are several interesting twists guaranteed to keep you glued.

5. Inception (2010)
Imagine yourself with the ability to steal secrets from people’s minds, pretty awesome, right? The film has an A-list ensemble cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, Michael Caine and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Leonardo DiCaprio plays a skilled and professional thief, who enters the subconscious of his targets in order to gain information that will enable him steal. His partner is Arthur, played by Gordon-Levitt. He is later given a chance to have a clean slate, his charges will be cleared, in exchange for completing a difficult mission.
