How many wind turbines are there in the US?

More than 100000 in 2030

It is widely known the fact that wind power can be an important part of the solution to global warming.  There will be more than 100000 wind turbines in the United States of America by 2030.  This is definitely something.  Not too many people know that 29,440 Megawatts (MW) of wind energy are currently installed in the United States, and an additional 5,866 MW are under construction.  Needless to say, over 8,500 MW were installed in the US in 2008.
