How many valence electrons are there in Calcium?

2

Do you like chemistry?  Keep in mind the fact that Calcium can be found in the 4th energy level of the periodic table, and in the 2nd group (column).  Not too many people know the fact that the first two groups (columns) of the periodic table represent the ‘s’ orbital group. This signifies that the electron configuration for calcium must end with 4s2.  It is extremely interesting to know the fact that Calcium has 2 valence electrons.
