It is important to know that urgent care centers are usually not open 24-hours a day.  Generally, 70% of urgent care centers open by 8:00 am or earlier and 95% close after 7:00 pm.  Keep in mind that urgent care centers primarily treat injuries or illnesses requiring immediate care.  The number of urgent care centers depends from country to country and from state to state.  For example, Alabama has 82 centers, Arizona 127, California 226, Colorado 83, Florida 328, Illinois 112, Kansas 19, Minnesota 44, etc.
