How many unpaired electrons are there in SE?

None

It is widely known the fact that Selenium is a chemical element with symbol Se and atomic number 34.  It is important to know that in chemistry, an unpaired electron is an electron that occupies an orbital of an atom singly, rather than as part of an electron pair.  Keep in mind that there are no unpaired electrons in a Se atom. This would only occur in two cases: for example, if there were an odd number of electrons in its outer shell or if it was a transition metal.  Selenium is not a traditional metal.
