How many tourists visit Maine?
13.5 million in 3 months
More and more tourists come to visit Maine. Believe it or not, the Maine Office of Tourism reports that from June to September of 2010, an estimated 9.5 million people made an overnight visit in the state, and 13.5 million people made day visits. This means that more than 60 million people make day visits in Maine during a year. This is definitely an ascending trend. The lighthouses, the lobster, the moose, the museums and the outdoor activities attract more and more tourists.
