How many threatened species are there in Alaska?

12

Alaska does not have too many problems when it comes to threatened species.  Not too many people know that Alaska has 12 threatened and endangered plant and animal species.  Here are some threatened and endangered animal species: albatross, curlew, sea turtle, goose, sea lion or whale.  Everyone perfectly understands that Alaska’s primary advantage has been the state’s remoteness and isolation.  The good news is that Alaska has few species designed as threatened.  The determinant factors are geographical isolation, the relative growth in population, limited development, small agricultural industry, conservative laws on the introduction and importation of exotic animals.

Whales are not endangered. There are plenty of them in the world. You might want to move your numbers down to 11
