How many members are there in the Texas House of Representatives?

Not too many people know that the Texas House of Representatives is the lower house of the Texas Legislature.  There are 150 members in the Texas House of Representatives.  These members are elected from single-member districts across the state.  It is important to know that the average district has about 150.000 people.  Moreover, the elections are held every two years on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November.  Furthermore, representatives are elected to two-year terms with no term limits.  The members meet at the Texas Capitol in Austin.
