How many spider species are there?
It is widely known the fact that spiders are predatory eight-legged creatures. They have organs to spin silk at the back ends of their bodies. They are the largest part of the arachnid family. Believe it or not, there are approximately 40000 types of spiders. They live all over the world, except Antarctica. It is interesting to know that spiders can trap small insects in sticky webs, lasso them with sticky bolas. Moreover, they use their vibration-sensing skills to chase prey down. Needless to say, all spiders can bite.
