How much shrimp per pound is there?

the smaller the count, the larger the size of the shrimp

It is widely known that shrimp is sold by size and the sizes are expressed in counts per pound. For example, 16/20 means 16 to 20 shrimp per pound.  It is important to know that the larger sizes are expressed as U/10 or U/12 which means “under” 10 or 12.  Needless to say, small sizes like coldwater cooked and peeled shrimp will have counts ranging from 150/250 to 250/300. As a golden rule, keep in mind that the smaller the count, the larger the size of the shrimp.
