How many RRBs are there in India?

Not too many people know that RRB stands for Regional Rural Banks.  It is important to know that RRBs are the banking organizations being operated in different states of India. The main idea is that they have been created to serve the rural areas with banking and financial services.   At the moment you can find 56 RRBs in India.  In 2006 there were 133 RRBs in India.  As you can probably see, there is a significant decrease when it comes to the number of RRBs in India.
