How many rhinos are there in the world?

Not too many people know that there are two types of rhinos in the world: black rhinos and white rhinos.  There are 3610 black rhinos in the world.  Keep in mind that there were about 70,000 in the late 1960s.  Unfortunately, the black rhinos have seen the most drastic decline of all rhino species, because of poaching and habitat loss.  They can live in the wild between 30 and 40 years.  Not too many people know that these animals may reach speeds of 50 km/h.  It is interesting to know that black rhinos are usually portrayed as the most aggressive of all rhino species.
