Statistics provided by the United Nations do not look too good when it comes to the number of cases of rape.  There are more than 250000cases of rape annually.  This data covers 65 countries.  Believe it or not, 1 out of every 6 American women has been the victim of an attempted or completed rape in her lifetime.  Moreover, 17.7 million American women have been victims of rape.  The trend is dangerous.   Not too many people know that every 2 minutes, someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted.
