Everyone knows that Pepsi Bottling Group was the world’s largest bottler of Pepsi-Cola beverages.  This group was the world’s largest manufacturer, seller and distributor of Pepsi-Cola beverages.  It had approximately 67,000 employees and annual sales of nearly $14 billion.  It is important to know that PBG had operations in the U.S., Canada, Greece, Mexico, Russia, Spain and Turkey.  On August 4, 2009, the Pepsi Bottling Group and another major Pepsi bottler, Pepsi Americas, were purchased by PepsiCo.  Not too many people know that Pepsi Bottling Group was based in Sumers, New York.
