How many octaves are there on a piano?

7

It is widely known the fact that the piano is a musical instrument played using a keyboard.  Keep in mind that this instrument is generally used in classical and jazz music for solo performances, ensemble use, chamber music and accompaniment and for composing and rehearsal.  It is important to know that almost every modern piano has 52 white keys and 36 black keys for a total of 88 keys.  Needless to say, pianos generally have seven octaves plus a minor third, from A0 to C8.
