How many Kurds are there in Turkey?

13.8 million.

As presented on the CIA World FactBook, Kurdish people constitute 18% of Turkey’â„¢s population, which is estimated to be over 76.8 million people. Turkey and Iraq are the countries with the highest Kurdish population, followed by Iran, Syria and Armenia. Although the country’â„¢s official language is Turkish, Kurdish is also spoken ‘“ there are no up-to-date numbers, but in 1980 there were nearly 4 million Kurdish speakers in Turkey (data retrieved from the Ethnologue website).
