How many identical twins are there in the world?

10 million.

Identical ‘“ or monozygotic ‘“ twins represent 8% of the twin population and about 0,2% of the world population. The birth rate for identical twins is approximately 3 in every 1000 deliveries. Unique features of monozygotic twins: they are invariably the same sex and their DNA is virtually identical.
