How many haploid sets of chromosomes are there in a diploid cell?

2 sets

There are so many differences between the haploid and the diploid cells.  First of all, you should know that diploid cells contain two complete sets (2n) of chromosomes.  On the other hand, haploid cells have half the number of chromosomes.  Needless to say, haploid cells contain only one set of chromosomes.  Needless to say, diploid cells reproduce by mitosis while haploid cells represent the result of the process of meiosis.  It is important to know that a haploid cell will merge with another haploid cell at fertilization.
