The number of lights lit is increased by one each night

It is widely known the fact that Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights, Feast of Dedication, is an eight-day Jewish holiday commemorating the dedication of the Holy Temple.  It is important to know that each night, throughout the 8 day holiday, a candle or oil-based light, is lit.  Needless to say, the number of lights lit is increased by one each night.  Keep in mind that the festival is observed by the kindling of the lights of a unique candelabrum.
