Not too many people know that the General Services Administration (GSA) is an independent agency of the United States government, established in 1949.  Its main role is to manage and support the basic functioning of federal agencies.  More than 12554 persons are employed here.  It is interesting to know that the annual operating budget is of $26.3 billion.  It is important to know that GSA’s business lines include the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) and the Public Buildings Service (PBS).  Its headquarter is in Washington.
