How many glaciers are left at the Glacier National Park?
25 glaciers
As of 2005, there were only 27 glaciers left, a big difference from the 150 glaciers in the mid 1800s. Twenty-six of the remaining glaciers have names, but all of them have been shrinking due to global warming. In fact, a recent news report pegged the remaining glaciers at 25. Miche Wabun and Shepard glaciers are now below the 25-acre mark and still shrinking. According to scientists, by the end of 2020 we would have none of the glaciers left.
