How many frames are there per second film?

24p, 25p, and 30p

It is important to know that the frame rate is also known as frame frequency and frame per second (FPS).  The frame rate is the frequency (rate) at which an imaging device produces unique consecutive images called frames.  Keep in mind that there are three main frame rate standards in the TV and digital cinema business: 24p, 25p, and 30p.  Anyway, there are many variations on these: 48p, 50i, 60i, 50p/60p, 70p, 120p, 300FPS.  It is interesting to know that in the motion picture industry, when traditional film stock is used, the industry standard filming and projection formats are 24 frames per second.
